展覧会のオープニング Exhibition Opening

1728年創業の歴史ある酒蔵を舞台に、約30名の国際的アーティストによる展覧会を開催します。この建物は現在、新たな創造拠点しろ鬼アートセンターとして整備が進められています。会場では、鬼石芸術祭の歩みや堀越千秋が地域に与えた影響、さらに13年間にわたり300名以上のアーティストを迎えてきたシロオニ・レジデンシーの歴史も紹介します。期間中はアーティスト・トーク、映像上映、パフォーマンスを実施。女性の視点による表現や参加型プロジェクトに焦点を当て、紙やテキスタイルを中心とした作品を展示します。

The showcase of around 30 international artists takes place within a historic sake brewery dating back to 1728, currently being transformed into the Shiro Oni Art Centre. This expansive heritage site is set to become a pioneering creative hub where architecture and contemporary art converge, offering a vibrant atmosphere that is part lounge, part laboratory.

A special part of the exhibition will explore the history of the festival, the impact of Chiaki Horikoshi on the Onishi community and a showcase of the Shiro Oni Residency's 13-year history and its over 300 visiting artists.

During the exhibition period we will host artists talks, performances, video screenings. The selection of artists focuses on female postions on performance and participatory projects. Paper and textile are the mainly featured materials in a region of historic silk production.
